Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here. Their food tastes fresh and homemade. Looking forward to my next visit and can't wait to try other menu items. They aren't trying to impress with presentation or exotic menu items; but they are welcoming, warm, and want you to come back. I know I will.

Delicious! Impressively clean. I had to take my 3 year old to the bathroom and they were very clean. We got the California Smothered burrito and then a pork smothered burrito both were excellent. The rice and beans were amazing!! I would come and just get the rice and beans! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Bomb.com/mexican !!! You should try this place out (even at 10:30 pm on Friday Night) Best Fresh Salsa in town!! Authentic and Tasty! Get the Tamales or the California Burrito w/cheese! You won't regret it!!

Great great place to eat ! I had the California I would recommend it. I am a huge carne asada snob and this was a top notch asada!!!! This is easily a $15 burrito at other places !

The food here was amazing, its true authentic mexican at its best everything from the chips and salsa to the smothered burritos were on point, portions were so big I had leftovers for 3 days. If you blink you'd miss this place it's worth the trip to Kearns, and the waitresses are so friendly,I can't wait to try other items on the menu!!!

I ordered the California burrito, and on the outside it looked pretty tasty. That was until I took my knife to it. When I opened it up, the chicken was dry and unseasoned. The rice was also dry and looked as if it was mixed in with bread crumbs. It did not even look like rice to be honest. Two stars because it's edible, but I won't be back.

Good service. Casual atmosphere. Hubby really enjoyed his California smothered burrito. I had tamales. They were good, too, but could have used a bit more flavor. Our second time here, it's okay for some comfy Mexican fare.

Freaking Delicious! Love their fresh salsa and cheese enchiladas. So good! My coworkers and I eat there at least once a week. It definitely is kind of a hole in the wall but sometimes those kinds of places have the best food. Very reasonable priced as well: $$. Depending on what time of day you go the service can be a little slow but they are very friendly.

Excellent food superb service. We eat here about four times a month. We have never been disappointed.

This is a little hole in the wall restaurant that completely rocks my socks. The food is to die for. I usually get the Chile Verde burritos, but have tried many other things and was impressed every time!

I've never had a bad meal here! The chips come out warm with tasty salsa. My favorite is the cheese enchiladas, which come out bubbly and piping hot. I like the chile relleno, too. Hubby always gets two smothered burritos, one for there and one to take for the next day. Service is fast and friendly rather we have two or ten in our group. We look forward to coming back soon!

A small family owned and operated so there is always wonderful service and you can't beat the food. Three of us ate there last night...three different meals...three very happy dinners. Drive all the way from Saint George for a great meal.

We are from Jackson WY (after years in So Cal) and are dying for good Mexican food. In SLC for other reasons and stopped at Acapulco because of Yelp ratings. Had lunch specials (enchiladas and tacos). Killer good. Wish they were looking to expand. Husband said that lunch made the trip worthwhile.

Great food and great customer service. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were great. The waitress that helped us was on point

This hole in the wall restaurant is near my mom's house so we go there quite a bit. the food is consistently good and service is great. The menu doesn't deviate from the typical mexican-american meal you will find in the area but it is well prepared and served with care.

Just a great little Mexican restaurant out in West Valley. I was surprised on how good the food really was? I had the huevos rancheros and pork tamale. Everything was cooked perfectly. And the service was very fast and friendly. When I am back out this way I will make another stop for sure.

We had a team lunch here and it was every bit as clean and delicious as the other reviews have indicated. The California smothered burrito is legit!

This is not a 5 star restaurant, but the beef enchiladas and rice and beans were 5 star. I am not a Mexican food lover, but I will happily eat there with my Spanish wife anytime.

When I think back about my childhood and growing up in Mexico, I always remember eating delicious Mexican food. Walking in the kitchen to the smell of warm toasted tortillas and fresh boiled beans with the sound of a loud happy family was my every day smile. As soon as I walked in to Acapulco Restaurant, I felt like I was back home. Hearing the merengue music, seeing the beautiful Frida Kahlo paintings and tasting the sweet and spicy authentic food took me back to my abuelita's soulful kitchen.
